Sex Offender Residency Ordinance On November 6, 2007, the Saginaw City Council passed Ordinance 2007-20, which "governs the residence of certain sex offenders in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of its residents." This ordinance will become official after two publications of the caption and penalty clause in the official newspaper of the City of Saginaw (The Northwest Tarrant County Times-Record). This ordinance prohibits certain sex offenders from living with 2,000 feet of: - Playgrounds; - Schools; - Day Care Facilities; - Video Arcade Facilities; - Public or Private Youth Centers; or - Parks or Community Swimming PoolsThe police department is responsible for maintaining and reviewing a map depicting the prohibited areas.
