Community Services

In October 2004, the Saginaw City Council approved the addition of the police department's first full-time community services officer (CSO).  The purpose of that position is to provide a better conduit between the residents and business owners of Saginaw and their police department.  The CSO is responsible for:

  • Establishing crime prevention initiatives in the city;

  • Home and business insurance inspections;

  • Coordinating events such as National Night Out, Neighborhood Watch, Safety Fairs, Bike Rodeos, and VIN Etching; and

  • Department representation at area and regional events

Since the beginning of this service, CSO Kim Allison has assisted several Saginaw neighborhoods in organizing Neighborhood Crime Watches.

For more information on Saginaw’s community services unit, or to schedule a neighborhood event, please contact Officer Kim Allison at (817) 232-0311, or on-line at kallison@saginawpolice.org.

Don’t let it end up at a police auction!

Since 1984, the National Bike Registry (NBR®) has been working with law enforcement to return stolen bikes to their rightful owners. A bike registered with NBR, the only true national database, can be identified by police and returned to you instead of being sold at an auction.

Protect your bike and your investment!
